WE EXIST TO AWAKEN
THIS GENERATION TO THE GLORY OF GOD.
Our student gatherings take place on Wednesday Nights at 6pm. Our gatherings are focused on students, we desire to create an environment that is fun, encourages spiritual growth, and equips students to impact this generation.
Refuge is a gathering of High School and Middle School students and our focus is Jesus. You can typically expect games, music, dynamic teaching, and small groups. For more information contact us, Pastor Justin would love to hear from you.
A Note From Pastor Justin
Hi, my name is Justin Daugherty, and I'm the Student Pastor here at MountainView. Thanks so much for your interest in Refuge Student Ministry. Refuge exists to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ through the relevant teaching of scripture and personal relationships in order to equip students to impact this generation. We also want to equip parents with the tools to engage their students in discussion about faith and their walk with the Lord. We believe in an open-door policy so that we're a tool at your disposal.
Student Mininstry Gatherings:

Wednesday:
We will always have large group gatherings with our students where you will worship God and teach God's word.
This is a night where the energy is high, the music is loud, and the teaching is relevant. This is a night where unchurched students can come and get plugged into our church and ministry and not feel out of place. Adult leaders break down the teaching in a small group setting
Biblical Teaching:
As a student ministry, our responsibility is to teach students the word of God. Our games, activities, music, and events will not transform students, only the Word of God and the Holy Spirit will truly transform them. That is why Biblical teaching needs to be the center and focus of our student ministry.
Equipping Leaders:
In order to have a student ministry that is growing and will outlast any person, it must have a leadership team that builds the next group of leaders. We do this by training them, meeting with them on a regular basis, and equipping them to do ministry. We accomplish by building a leadership team of older High School Students, and with our Parent Leadership Council.
Equipping Parents:

As a student ministry, our responsibility is not to take the place of the parent, but to partner with them as they point their children to Christ. We want to help you, we see parents as the primary ones to disciple their children, but it is our responsibility as the church to help.
