Who We Are
We are a Gospel driven, Christ centered, passionate group of people on a mission. To know Jesus Christ on the deepest level and to see our town, state and the world come to know Him. We call Murphy home, but we know we're called to reach to the ends of the earth. We are not perfect, we've never claimed to be, but Jesus is. Our goal is to be more like Him.

At MountainView, you won't be met with judgement because we've all got issues and a story. We are a body of people that were once lost and are now found, blind but now see, dead but now alive. We didn't get ourselves here, Jesus brought us here. He is our rescuer. He is our good news. He is our purpose. We invite you to come and see that He is good.

Take Nantahala Byway (US-19/US-74/US 129) toward Murphy.
Travel approx. 3.3 miles past Wal-Mart. Turn Left onto Smith Hollow, a small paved road located just after to Monte Alban Restaurant and OneMain Financial. Follow Smith Hollow for about 0.2 miles. You are here!

What to Expect

What should I wear?Wear what makes you comfortable! We have a casual atmosphere. Jeans and a shirt are a perfect Sunday morning outfit at MountainView (and usually what you’ll find our Pastor in!)

What kind of worship will there be?For each Sunday Service, we have a time of passionate contempory worship with a full band led by our worship leaders. The lyrics are displayed on two screens so you may join in! Each service lasts about 90 minutes.

How will I know where to go when I get there?We have a dedicated parking team who will assist you with knowing where to park, and a wholehearted hospitality team who are eager to greet you, guide you and answer any other questions you have upon arrival. A bottled water station and coffee station are available to you free of charge. Come join us!

What about my children?We offer nursery services for children under the age of 3 for both services. Children ages 3-11 are welcome to join our Kids' Connection downstairs for the 11 am service only. Kids' Connection runs through the entire service so you may worship without distraction. Children are divided into the following age groups: 3-5, 6-8 and 9-11. We have a check in station available for you. At the check in station, there will always be someone to help register and check in your children. You will be given two name tags. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service ends you will return the tag at your child's room to pick them up. No one is allowed to take a child without these tags. If you are attending on a 5th Sunday of the month, only nursery is offered. Children are invited to join our worship upstairs for Family Sunday. Kid's materials will be available to keep them occupied.
