MountainView Community Church
Real Life. Real Truth. Real Freedom.
What's the dress code at MtnVu?
We are a "come as you are" church.  Jesus is more interested in the inside than the outside.  We only ask that what you wear doesn't cause a distraction.  Most of our attenders consider jeans and a t-shirt their "Sunday clothes."

What kind of music do you have in worship?
We use what most consider "contemporary" music on Sundays.  MtnVu has a live band that inspires most people to clap along and celebrate.  Many of the newest Christian songs by groups like Casting Crowns, MercyMe, or worship leaders like Paul Baloche are heard each Sunday as well as original songs written by our worship team.

What exactly is a "community church?"
There are many community churches around the world, but for MtnVu we have a simple concept.  We want to reach the community for Christ without any denominational labels or barriers that hinder meeting people where they are in life.  MtnVu has a firm grasp on who we are in doctrine, vision, and mission.  And we network with other churches in Kingdom work.  Each local church is independant yet part of the big "C" Church: the Body of Christ!

How are children and student ministries a priority?

One word: Huge.  But to add to that, we first carefully screen our leaders and volunteers.  Next, we spend serious money on the finest children's program we could find- "252" which was developed and used by Northpoint Church, pastored by Andy Stanley.  The quality of Biblical content and creativity is second to none.  We have roomy children's center called Base Camp, where kids have space and technology to worship and learn in a hand's on environment.

Our middle and high school students are ministered to the same way, with opportunities for group-building acitivities like rafting and student conferences with the finest communicators of the Word and live worship.

Verse of the Day
I told them, "If you think it best, give me my pay, but if not, keep it.  So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.  And the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter" -- the handsome price at which they priced me!
